Dear Members,
The Executi ve committ ee takes pleasure in presenti ng the annual report of the functi oning of the society from 1 st November 2015 ti ll 31 st October, 2016. The working of our society is guided by our objecti ves of promoti ng systems science and engineering, disseminating knowledge pertaining to systems theory and applicati ons, encouraging meritorious work in systems domain, reporti ng results of original research and providing a forum for scholars and practi ti oners to come together to share ideas and experiences.
The society had yet another eventf ul year during this period. ISSE had spread it wings and expanded its acti viti es by starti ng fi ve more chapters in India, viz., Manipal, Kochi, Sriharokiota-Chennai, Hyderabad and Amravati . The Nati onal Conference of ISSE, ‘Large Scale Multi disciplinary Systems of Nati onal Signifi cance-Trends & Challenges’, LAMSYS 2016 was held during June 24-25, 2016 at Sati sh Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. Apart from the Nati onal conference, several Nati onal and Internati onal programmes were also organized under the aegis of local chapters of ISSE in the system engineering domain towards the society objecti ve of promoti ng the systems concept. The major acti viti es conducted and important achievements of ISSE during the period are presented in the annual report 2016.
